The Monstrous Misfits prepare for the homecoming game and following dance. Presto lays out their hopes and dreams. The Assembly tinkers with tinctures. Melody becomes a team player. Miracle learns what is and isn’t comedy. Everyone gets down at the get-down that is tank waltzing to such classics as Hussar Dance.
Zauberpanzers: Zauberpanzers (literally “magic tanks”) are constructed by Imperial wizards to help them push back against their enemies and help expand the borders of empire while also protecting their most important assets (other wizards). They’re mass-produced in factories that use magic to build vehicles that have aftermarket enchantments added as opposed to being constructs made out of interlinking enchantments (look at what happened to Melody and think if a tank should be like her). Fundamentally a zauberpanzer exists as a (relatively) fast and (somewhat) maneuverable suit of armor for multiple wizards at once and allow them to deliver artillery fire to the enemy or bring the wizards closer to let them bring spells to bear. Making a sport out of piloting them is an efficient way to both bolster public support for the project and also train the next generation of gunners and drivers, though accidents do happen and tank-on-tank violence isn’t magical and is a solid way to silence enemies more directly.
